Reading

Parents:
     The students are doing a great job reading in class!  Please keep reading at home.  It is so important to your child's learning to read to them or have them read to you.  I have found some articles that support this idea.  Please feel free to look through them.

Each week we send home pre decodable books, these are wonderful resources for your child.  The books consist of high frequnecy words we are learning and all the words they must sound out are the letters they know from learning them in the classroom.

Welcome

Welcome to my first blog.  I am very excited to get this up and running.  I cannot wait to learn more about blogging.   For me my students cannot read my blogs, my parents can.  I think that this will really help my parents "see" into my classroom without actually being there.
